A. J. Freiman, president of the Canadian Zionist Organization, appealed yesterday to Sir Philip Cunliffe Lister, colonial minister, to facilitate Jewish immigration to Palestine. The appeal was sent in a cable to London.
The text of the message is as follows:
“Words fail to express the disappointment of Canadian Zionists with regard to curtailment of Jewish immigration into Palestine under the present circumstances.
“The Zionist Organization of Canada respectfully appeals to you to do everything in your power to facilitate increased Jewish immigration into Palestine in keeping with the definite need for Jewish labor as authenticated by the memorandum of the Jewish Agency and in accordance with the principle laid down in Prime Minister McDonald’s letter.”
