Maryland’s governor said he would earmark additional federal homeland security funds for Jewish sites in the state. Robert Ehrlich announced Wednesday that Jewish sites, including several Jewish day schools and synagogues in three counties, would receive much of the state’s allotment of more than $1 million in homeland security funds.
