Maurice Hart, Jewish member of the Federal Parliament, died here today after a lengthy illness. He was 54 years old. The Canadian Prime Minister and other members of the Cabinet sent massages of condolence to Mr. Hart’s family. Jewish leaders, mourning his death, emphasized the role played by Mr. Hart, who began his political career in 1939, in defending Jewish rights.
