Memorial meetings to honor Miss Henrietta Szold, founder of Hadassah who died here on February 13, were held throughout Palestine today, marking the “Shloishim”, the end of the traditional thirty days of mourning. A large memorial meeting was also held on the premises of the Hebrew University and was broadcast over the Palestine radio station.
(In New York, a memorial meeting in honor of Miss Szold was held today at Carmegic Hall. It was arranged by the Hadassah Organization. Principal speakers included Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman, Ira Hirschmann, Robert Szold and Mrs. Israel Sicff. Mrs. Moses P. Epstein, national president of Hadassah, presided.)
