Jewish and non-Jewish civic, political and religious leaders of France, including President Vincent Auriol, yesterday paid homage to the French Jews who died during the war in the army, resistance movement and before the execution squads of the Gestapo. An imposing marble monument was formally dedicated with prayers by Dr. Isaie Schwartz, Chief Rabbi of France.
