Moses E. Greenebaum, prominent Chicago banker and Jewish communal leader, was tendered a testimonial dinner by Sinai Congregation on the occasion of his seventieth birthday. The dinner held at the Standard Club, was attended by members of the congregation and friends of Mr. Greenebaum.
Mr. Greenebaum has been a member of Sinai Congregation for many years and its president since 1906. He served as treasurer of the Chicago Jewish War Relief Committee and a number of other funds and organizations, was active in Red Cross and Liberty Loan work during the war, and was Chairman of the Chicago branch of the Jewish Welfare Board. He has taken an active interest in the work of the Jewish Historical Society of Illinois since its inception, being its treasurer. He is president of the Citzens’ Association, vice-president of the Michael Reese Hospital, a director of the Travelers’ Aid Society, and a member of the Chicago Peace Society and the Religious Education Association.
The Board of Trustees under whose auspices the dinner was held, presented Mr. Greenebaum with a Bible.
