Ida Kaminska, who was hospitalized here recently with heart trouble while on tour with the play “Mirele Efros,” was expected to leave Jewish General Hospital tomorrow and will rest in Montreal before returning to New York. Her husband, actor Marian Melman, said that Miss Kaminska hoped to resume her stage activities next fall.
Mrs. Kaminska was in Montreal along with her daughter, Ruth Kaminska. All are former members of the Jewish State Theater of Warsaw which is now all but defunct. The family left Poland following the anti-Semitic campaign inspired by the regime. They have temporarily made their home in New York City.
