Mrs. Rachel Katzenelson-Rubashov, secretary of the Women’s Council of the Histadruth, Palestine Labor Federation, arrived in this country on Wednesday on the steamer “Champlain.”
Mrs. Rubashov is one of the outstanding leaders of the Jewish labor movement in Palestine. She came to Palestine before the war. She has been active in the cultural work of the movement and is known for her literary work.
Mrs. Katzenelson-Rubashov is here in the interests of the campaign of the Pioneer Women’s Organization which is seeking the sum of $60,000.
She will make her first public appearance at the Eastern Conference of the Pioneer Women’s organization this evening at Beethoven Hall. Tomorrow night she will address the convention of the Gewerkschaften campaign at the City College Auditorium.
