The personnel commission of the City of Munich, meeting in a secret session, has voted to grant a pension of 450 Deutschmarks ($112) monthly to Munich’s one-time Mayor Karl Fiehler, one of Hitler’s oldest and closest collaborators.
Fiehler was convicted of Nazism after World War II. He served a two-year term in a labor camp, and was ordered by the court to be deprived of civic rights for 12 years, including the right to vote, or to be elected to public office or to practice his profession. The court also ordered the confiscation of one-fifth of his property.
