Murray D. Goodrich, a prominent Jewish communal leader and former president of the San Diego United Jewish Fund, received an honorary doctor of laws degree yesterday at the commencement exercises of the University of San Diego College for Men.
Mr. Goodrich, a member of the national council of the Joint Defense Appeal, of the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, was cited for his contributions to the city, the community and the university. Mr. Goodrich was recently named president of the San Diego chapter of the National Conference of Christians and Jews.
