Nathan Straus Gets First Report of Unemployment Relief in Tel Aviv

Nathan Straus will sail for the United States on March 31 on the steamer Adriatic.

Mr. Straus, who left Palestine several weeks ago, received the first report of the Committee appointed by him to distribute the $20,000 he left for relief of the unemployed in Tel Aviv. The report, cabled to Mr. Straus by Chaim Nachman Bialik, a member of the committee, stated that 3,250 unemployed artisans and unskilled laborers had been aided. Funds had also been distributed to 5,250 of the middle class needy, of all sections and from all countries, and to 500 needy rabbis, poets, artists and women.

Thanks on behalf of those helped was transmitted to Mr. Straus and the wish for his successful journey home.
