Nathaniel S. Rothenberg, former chief of the wartime Air Transport Command Intelligence in China, was elected today president and chairman of the National Committee of the American Friends of Aviation in Israel.
“As a former air force officer, I am clearly aware that a modern state needs an efficient airways communication system,” Rothenberg said. “Israel is becoming air-minded and it is incumbent on all Americans to support and sponsor the objectives of the American Friends of Nation in Israel, the establishment of aeronautic schools and the training of ground crews and mechanics, as well as stimulating air-mindedness among the youth of Israel.”
