With the Reichstag elections safely over, violent anti-Semitic attacks have been resumed in Germany. Today Germany’s press, after a long silence, is urging the continuation of the anti-Jewish boycott as a means of combatting the Jewish peril.
That the boycott is continuing all over Germany is evidenced by a communication addressed by Minister of Justice Frank, to the Juristenbund, jurists association, demanding that they do not overstep the bounds of their instructions to discontinue the boycott of Jews until instructed to resume these activities.
An official communique from Stagard, Pomerania, describes how an the day of the election, November 12, an aged Jewish man of seventy-six and two Jewish women were severely beaten by two Nazis and taken to a hospital. The attackers were the storm troopers, Murr and Stiebens. They were arrested and police are investigating the part others are said to have taken in the attacks.
The Jewish population of Bueckenbrug, Germany, was prohibited today from displaying the red, black and white republican flag. The mayor of the town explained that the prohibition, was the result of an order from Chancellor Hitler’s office.
