Seliman Moujahaz, 35, Yemenite shoemaker, died this morning at the Hadassah Hospital as the result of a murderous assault perpetrated by an unknown Arab last night, when Moujahaz was peacefully at work at his home in the Shimon Ha’zadik quarter. A bullet, fired through the window at ten o’clock last night, entered his head at one temple and went out the other. His neighbors heard the shot, but owing to the curfew could not proceed to investigate what happened until five o’clock in the morning, when the victim was found lying in a pool of blood and rushed to the Hadassah hospital in a hopeless condition.
The victim lived as a recluse and was considered among the Yemenites as a man of learning.
