Norman B. Robbins, 21 a student at Northeastern University Law School, Sunday night was awarded the Irving Lehman Trophy for being adjudged first place in the National Oratorical Contest for Jewish Centers sponsored by the Jewish Welfare Board.
The xontest was held at the Bronx Young Men’s Hebrew Association, Lexngton avenue and 92nd street.
Robbins, who is a resident of Worcester, Mass., discussed “The Seapegoat of the World.”
Abraham Fleischman, of Staten Island, was awarded second place. Others who competed were: Isadore Zamost, of New Jersey; Lester Benjamin, of Pennsylvania, and Harry S. Levine of New York.
