Norman Eisenberg, a former director of communications for the UJA-Federation of New York, died Monday of lung cancer at age 50. A graduate of the University of West Virginia and an Israeli soldier during the 1982 Lebanon War, Eisenberg worked at the federation from 1986 to 1998 and also spent several years working for the United Jewish Communities federation umbrella group.
