The United Jewish Communities is holding its General Assembly Nov. 16-19 in Jerusalem in honor of Israel’s 60th anniversary. This year’s conference will focus on “Next Generation” Jewish leaders. The UJC has invited more than 500 Jewish leaders under the age of 45 to discuss their roles in the Jewish community and how they see the next generation of leaders emerging. Israeli dignitaries invited include Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, President Shimon Peres and Likud Party leader Benjamin Netanyahu. Thousands of Jewish organizational professionals and lay leaders attend the G.A., which is held in a different city each year. To register, visit www.ujc.org/ga.
