Representatives of the central committee of the World ORT Union have left here to begin rehabilitation work for the Jews of Hungary and Belgium, it was announced today.
Dr. Ladislas Halasz is en route to Budapest where he will arrange for the distribution of the first transport of machines to reach the Hungarian capital from here, and will organize ORT clothing and shoe factories. Together with the Budapest ORT, he will map plans for the extension of training and aid to the Jews throughout Hungary.
Boris Milgram, manager of the ORT electrical school in Switzerland, is on his way to Brussels, where he will organize training and relief activities for the Jewish population.
