Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog of Palestine called on the Vatican yesterday for the second time this week, to discuss the problem of Jewish children who are still in the custody of Catholic institutions, where they were placed for shelter during the Nazi occupation. Rabbi Herzog saw Luigi Cardinal Maglione, Papal Secretary of State.
Later, he left for British military headquarters at Caserto where he will visit Jewish units from Palestine. He will also tour refugee camps in southern Italy. He was accompanied by four American and British chaplains.
