The second biennial conference of the Palestine Teachers Association was held at the orphans’ village, Ben Shemen, with the participation of 130 delegates.
The introduction into the schools of the study of modern Palestine ideals for redemption of the soil was considered at the conference.
M. M. Ussishkin urged that the Jewish National Fund principles be the foundation for national education. Chaim Nachman Bialik in his address urged the teachers to relate all instruction to the high national, religious and social ideals of the Jewish people.
