–Polish deputies in the Sejm refused to believe the allegations of the anti-Semitic Christian Democratic Party representatives, that Jews had perpetrated excesses. This was clear when the Sejm rejected by a majority vote, an urgent motion introduced by the Christian Democratic Party, charging that excesses occurred in the town Lida, where a movie house, Nirvana, owned by a Christian, was demolished.
The motion demanded that the Jewish vice-mayor of the town of Lida be removed from his post and disciplinary proceedings be brought against the local police.
The Jewish deputy, Wybodski, argued against the motion, declaring that the charge was ridculous. He pointed to te fact that the local court had rejected the suit instituted by the owner of the movie house, Nirvana, against Vice-Mayor Pupke.
The motion was defeated over the vote of the Christian Democrats, the National Democrats and the National Labor Club.
