A poor Jewish poultry dealer, Meyer Zeller, a resident of Kielce, has been decorated by the Polish government for services to the state. In 1914 he saved the lives of three Polish legionnaires from Kosacs during the historical march of Marshall Pilsudski’s legions, Kielce being the first town on their line of march.
