Education Minister Swietoslawski today denounced the “unhealthy moral atmosphere” prevailing at the Lwow Polytechnic Institute, where a Jewish student was recently murdered by anti-Semitic Nationalist students.
In a letter to the school’s senate, the Education Minister declared “the murder proves that the unhealthy moral atmosphere requires a strong reaction against decadence.” The senate, making the letter public, called upon all student organizations to condemn criminal actions.
Swietoslawski refused to confirm the election of Prof. Bulanda as rector of Lwow University. Prof. Bulanda is known for his leniency toward Nationalist agitators.
