The Czechoslovak Government today ordered banks to impound the deposits of all refugees from Sudetenland on the ground that it desired to prevent the flight of capital from Praha to the Reich, since many Sudeteners are being sent back to their former homes en masse. The measure struck a severe blow at the more than 20,000 Sudeten Jews who had liquidated their holdings in Sudetenland before the Nazi occupation and had transferred millions of dollars to Praha, hoping to rebuild their existence within the Czechoslovak State.
Selbstwehr, official organ of the Czech Zionist Organization and the Jewish Party, announced that commencing this week it will appear in the Czech language under the title, Zidovski Spra.
