Professor Carl Neumann, 74, professor of art history at Heidelberg University, died here today. His most important work was his famous biography of the Dutch painter, Rembrandt.
Professor Neumann was born at Mannheim and was educated in the public schools there. He entered Heidelberg University and completed his studies at the University of Berlin and at Basle University.
