Prof, Albert Einstein, who this week-end marked his 73rd birthday, will be one of the four honorary sponsors of the Jewish Agency’s Israel Summer Institute–a seven-week work-study tour of Israel designed for American students and educators–it was announced today by the Agency. The other honorary sponsors include Israel Ambassador Abba Eban, Dr. Nahum Goldmann and Justice I.C. Rand of the Supreme Court of Canada.
Acting on the premise that “nothing speaks for Israel more eloquently that Israel itself,” the Summer Institute was established three years ago to afford young Americans an opportunity, not only to visit the Jewish State, but to meet its people, its leaders and scholars, to study at its university and to work in its famous agricultural settlements. The total cost for enrollment in the Institute is $875 dollars which includes round-trip fare, tuition, living expenses in Israel and a stop-over in Paris. The Institute leaves the United States July 8 and returns August 25.
