Rabbis and shochtim who sell their posts must pay an income tax. according to a decision of the Polish Supreme Court.
The court ruled in a case under consideration that because the positions given to the rabbis and schochtim provide a personal income, the transfer does not constitute a religious action but is purely a commercial transaction.
