Four Jewish charitable institutions will benefit to the extent of $75,000 from the will of Mrs. Johanna Traub of Queens, who died on Sept. 18th. The institutions are the Hebrew Orphan Asylum, New York Guild for the Jewish Blind, Jewish Home for the Aged and Infirm and the Home of the Daughters of Jacob.
Mrs. Traub, who was born in Hungary, left $100,000 in cash and securities. During the past 12 years, since her husband died, she had been living in seclusion, leaving her home only to go shopping. Neighbors regarded her as a poor woman compelled to live in a very frugal manner.
