Justice Samuel I. Rosenman will head a committee of 1,500 business, civic and philanthropic leaders, which will sponsor the opening dinner of the 1933 appeal of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies on October 15 at the Hotel Commodore, former Justice Joseph M. Proskauer, president of the Federation, announced.
The dinner will inaugurate a drive for $4,200,000 to complete the budget of ninety-one charitable agencies affiliated with the Federation.
Among those who will serve with Justice Rosenman on the dinner committee are: Governor and Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman, Mr. and Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, Frederick M. Warburg, Adolph S. Ochs, Adolph Lewisohn, Sam A. Lewisohn, Dr. Henry Moskowitz, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Block, Dr. Nathan M. Ratnoff, Hon. George Z. Medalie, Judge Otto M. Rosalsky and many other distinguished Jewish citizens of New York City.
