The propaganda of the secret branches of the Russian monarchist organizations abroad was blamed for the spread of anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union by the “Pravda,” official Soviet organ.
In an article published by the newspaper on April 30 against the anti-Semitic tendencies the paper declares: “These (the monarchist organizations), our enemies, use the anti-Semitic propaganda to provoke distrust in our authority, circulating it whenever there is unemployment, discontent or economic difficulties. They penetrate the ranks of the politically immature workers and unemployment affords them a basis for their propaganda among Government employees.”
The “Pravda” urges the eradication of anti-Semitism as the worst enemy of the Soviets and the workers.
