Scholarships and other awards totalling $52,500 have been set aside by the Sidney Hillman Foundation, the board of trustees announced here. Jacob Potofeky, president of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, said a $10,000 grant-in-aid had been awarded to the University of Chicago to “root out the teaching of prejudice and discrimination” in school and college textbooks.
