Peter Deeg, one of the collaborators of Julius Streicher, “Anti-Semite No. 1” of the Nazi regime in Germany, was discovered today Bad Kissingen and was immediately arrested. He will stand trial in Nuremberg.
Among the many anti-Semitic works written by Deeg is a book, “Jews, Jewish times and the Jewish Laws in Germany from the Past to the Present.” The book was published by Streicher’s publishing house which also published the “Stuermer” and other vulgar anti-Jewish publications.
The American Military Government today reported that former concentration camp mates will receive close to 2,000,000 marks as proceeds from admissions to two miss movies, according to an agreement reached in Stuttgart between the Military Government and Lazar Wechsler, producer of the films. The funds will be distributed by the German Council of States in Stuttgart.
The Jewish communities in the U.S. zone of Germany have decided to affiliate with the World Jewish Congress, it was announced here today. The province of Hesse will be represented by Dr. Curt Epstein, Commissioner for Racial and Political Persecutes in the province; Dr. Benno Ostertag, of Stuttgart, and Dr. Phillip S. Auerach, Bavarian Commissioner for Racial and Political Persecutes.
