Summer positions in Israel will be open in 1956 to American college and university students with three or more years of training in the sciences or engineering, it was announced today by the Office of Professional and Technical Workers of the Jewish Agency in New York. Application forms may be obtained from the Jewish Agency.
The jobs, which are from six weeks to three months duration, are offered in medicine chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, pharmacy, agricultural engineering, surveying, civil engineering, veterinary medicine, geology and textile engineering, the PATWA announcement said. Qualified students who are accepted must provide their own transportation to and from Israel but will be paid salaries sufficient to cover room, board and normal personal expenses while in Israel.
