Two months’ imprisonment was imposed on a Jewish journalist in Frankfurt today for wearing the swastika. The journalist argued in court that in spite of the fact that he was a Jew he considered himself a fighter in the Nazi movement. He bitterly denounced Judaism in 1922, he asserted, and recently helped the present Nazi government uncover communist organizations. He stated that he even had applied for membership in the National Socialist party.
The court rejected his arguments with the explanation that he was still considered a Jew and therefore could not be a member of the National Socialist party and had no right to wear the swastika.
