A meeting protesting against the plan of the Israel Government to impose a special tax on real estate was held here today under the auspices of the Householders Association.
Speakers at the meeting pointed out that owners of real estate were already paying government and municipal taxes. They argued that their income from rentals had not risen in the last 12 years, while the cost of maintaining their property had shot up steeply.
