The Israeli fishermens union has contracted to build a 55 ton trawler and shrimp boat at an American shipyard for $150,000. The contract, signed in Haifa Friday, calls for the vessel to be completed in three months. The union decided to build in the U.S. because the Haifa shipyards were unable to give a firm date for completion. The deal has been approved by the government and the Haifa Labor Council.
