The municipality of Paris passed a resolution today changing the name of the Rue Honsouty to the Rue dela Heurthe, in honor of Emile Deutsch de la Heurthe, the Jewish-French millionaire philanthropist, who died here recently.
M: Deutsoh de la Heurthe was the first man in Europe to foresee the the development of aviation and financed the first attempts in that direction about twenty years ago. The last philanthropy of M. Deutsch de la Heurthe was a donation of 10,000,000 francs for the creation of a dormitory in Paris for poor students. The avenue, which is now named after him, connects Paris with the university suburb.
