Delegates from 11 countries will attend the council meeting of the World Federation of Young Men’s Hebrew Associations and Jewish Community Centers, to be held from July 22 to 24 at the Consistoire Central des Israelites de France in Paris, it was announced today by Frank L. Weil, World Federation president and honorary president of the National Jewish Welfare Board. The J.W.B. is the American member of the Federation.
Countries which will be represented at the meeting, the first one held outside the United States, will be England, Australia, Israel, the Scandinavian countries, France, Belgium, Canada and the U.S. The delegates will discuss ways in which the World Federation may better serve the needs of Jewish communities in the various countries, consider training of professional personnel for service with member organizations of the Federation and plan a leaders’ training course for European member bodies of the World Federation.
