Personal observation of the condition of villagers in certain parts of the country during recent tours of inspection has convinced the Hitgh Commissioner of the urgent need to grant further assistance to impoverished farmers to obtain animal fodder for summer sowing,the Palestine Government declared,announcing that £5,500 in fodder and seed loans are being issued in the Northern and Jerusalem districts at once.
General Wauchope saw villages in the Ghor (Jordan Valley area)and other villages affected by drought,which led to very heavy mortaiity among young stock,the communique added.
