The national Zionist organizations in the United States today established a committee to be known as the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs, with headquarters in Washington.
The committee will “conduct and direct public action on behalf of the American Zionist movement, bearing upon relations with governmental authorities, with a view to maintaining and improving friendship and good will between the United States and Israel.” Louis Lipsky was elected chairman and Isaiah L. Kenen, executive director of the new committee.
