Chaim Greenberg, American Zionist labor leader, has been refused a transit visa by the Lebanese Government, it was learned today. The American Consulate in Paris is intervening in the matter.
Greenberg has been in Paris for several weeks attending the meetings of the Jewish Agency executive. Prior to applying to Lebanon for a transit vise he encountered difficulties in obtaining a visa to enter Palestine, but at the intervention of Alfred Duff-Cooper, British Ambassador to France, the visa was granted.
Meanwhile, the Agency office here said that it was decided that David Ben Gurion and Moses Sneh should remain in Paris for the time being.
