United Nations Secretary-General U Thant denied on his arrival here today that he intended to withdraw the United Nations observers from the Middle East next month. He told reporters that the report was not true and that “I have no intention to do so.” He said he had “some ideas” to present to Dr. Gunnar V. Jarring, the UN special representative for the Middle East whom he was to meet later in the day and that Dr. Jarring would have some ideas about the reactivization of his mission.
