The Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada today announced that it has called upon all its members to have their congregations individually petition President Roosevelt, asking aid for the Jews in Europe.
The Union has suggested to the congregations that they stress the following two demands in their message to the President:
1. Make possible the migration of Jews out of Europe to all available places of refuge, particularly Palestine.
2. Facilitate the transmission of food to the sufferers, for whom the enemy declares there is no food available.
