The Arab Delegation which had planned to visit America to arouse public sentiment there in behalf of its anti-Zionist aims, has left for Palestine instead.
The delegation on arrival will publish a proclamation explaining the results of its London mission.
It is felt here that the visit of the delegation was a flat failure. Curiosity is thus felt as to how the Delegation will account for its rebuff at the hands of the British Government, and anticipation is particularly keen as to how it will explain the refusal of the Cabinet Commission to give it a hearing.
Shibley Jemal, Secretary of the Arab Delegation who has been in New Zork for some time in connection with the raising of the $2,000,000 fund for the “preservation of the sacred Christian places in Palestine” told the New York representative of the J.T.A. that he did not know why the Arab Delegation changed its original plan to visit America.
Mr. Jemal, a Christian, declared that at present he was dissociated from Arab politics and that he was here purely as the representative of the Anglican Church in Jerusalem on the American Committee for the preservation of the sacred places in the Holy Land.
