“If the Jewish children of today are not given a Jewish education, in two or three generations there will be no Jews in the United States,” Jonah J. Goldstein, chairman of the $500,000 scholarship Campaign of the Jewish Education Association, declared in a radio talk over Station WEAF Wednesday night.
“What the Jews have most to fear is not anti-Semitism, but spiritual race suicide,” Mr. Goldstein said.
CORALNICK NEW PRESIDENT OF UKRAINIAN FEDERATION
The Federation of Ukrainian Jews has been reorganized.
Dr. A. Coralnik was elected president of the organization, Joseph Barondess, Harry Gordon, and I. A. Benenquit, vice-presidents; William Edlin, honorary secretary; F. Feingold, secretary and Louis Myers, treasurer.
Ninety-five graduates were awarded diplomas, one of them posthumously, at the forty-first commencement exercises of the Hebrew Technical Institute, at Third Avenue and Ninth Street, New York, held Wednesday night in Cooper Union Hall. It was the largest class ever graduated by the school. The posthumous diploma was awarded in the name of William D. Hymes, a senior, who died last January.
The principal address was made by Dr. K. George Falk, President of the institute.
