As a direct rebuke to Hitler’s anti-feminist declarations, the International Cooperative Women’s Guild adopted a resolution at its London conference late last month in which it viewed with “great concern” the exclusion of women from “participation in the conduct of public affairs” and declared “the determined opposition of the millions of housewives connected with the Cooperative movement to all measures that restrict its operations or hamper its development.”
