The first world conference of Zionist student corporations opened here yesterday with one hundred delegates from eleven countries in attendance. The conference was welcomed to Latvia by Premier Celmins and by E. Ziemelis, Latvian minister of education. The conference will last three days.
The conference is the first step in the organization of a world union of Jewish students, but since it is impossible to carry out this plan at once the first step is being taken by uniting all Zionist student bodies because by their very nature they can be more easily united than other groups.
