The Jewish population of Hermanstadt in Transylvania observed their first Sedar in the synagogue amidst a rain of stones and bullets. According to information received here, the Jewish worshippers were assembled for the first Sedar when the synagogue was encircled by a mob and attacked. The worhsippers, panic-stricken, fled from the synagogue, but were followed by stones from the crowd. It took the police several hours to restore order.
