The eleventh annual convention of the Council of Young Israel will be held this week-end at the Clarendon-Brunswick Hotel, Asbury Park, N. J., Moses N. Hoenig, president, announced yesterday. The council represents forty branches in the United States, Canada and Palestine.
Formation of Young Israel groups in colleges and problems of orthodox Jewry will be considered. A year book entitled “The Golden Future of Young Israel,” edited by Morris Lifschitz and Hayman Epstein is being prepared in connection with the convention.
A business session will be held Sunday at which 1,500 persons are expected. Speakers will be: Irwin Steingut of the New York Legislature, Assemblyman Samuel Mandelbaum. Rabbi Bernard Revel, president of Yeshiva College
