The formation of a new National Commission of Educational Activities to centralize and coordinate all activities of the Zionist Organization of America in this field was announced today by Benjamin G. Browdy, Z.O.A. president. The commission will be headed by Dr. Abraham I. Katsh, professor of education at New York University. The commission will be composed of the lay and professional representatives of each arm of the Z.O.A. engaged in education.
Projects slated for immediate implementation include the establishment of a Z.O.A. award for an outstanding book on Israel or Jewish culture and education, and the appropriation of a sum for the promotion and encouragement of educational activities sponsored by existing Jewish educational agencies.
